Cape Vidal is one of the Jewels of the iSimangaliso wetland park, nestled amongst the vegetated sand dunes along the  eastern shores of Lake St. Lucia in the remote areas of the Elephant Coast of KZN South Africa. Cape Vidal offers the tourist some fantastic nature based tourism opportunities with deep sea angling, Rock and surf fishing and many walking trails, as well as swimming and snorkelling in the many bays and rock pools.

Come camping or relax in style at any of the luxurious log cabins or chill out at one of the rustic fishermen's cottages. All campsites are full serviced with electricity and the communal ablutions are very neat with hot running water to take a relaxing shower after your hard day fishing or walking along any of the many walking trails.

All the log cabins are fully serviced with in-house ablutions and kitchen for self catering. The log cabins are neatly laid out with ample space to relax and enjoy the fresh sea air. All cottages (log cabins) are less than 5 minutes walk from the sea shore, and are nestled in vegetated sand dunes.

The camp sites are also less than 5 minutes walk from the sea shore, and are well placed with plenty of space between sites. There are no shops, so remember to buy your groceries in St. Lucia about 35 Km away or Mtubatuba about 60 Km away.

The fishermen's cottages are a bit further away from the beaches and are quite far from the log cabins and camp sites, thus separating the different user groups and allowing everybody their privacy and keeping the peace.

The gates into the Eastern shores region close at night and no traffic is allowed to travel during darkness. Gate times vary according to season so check out the iSimangaliso web site and read more before visiting this stunning area.
